Gammel Rye.
WB Dänemark, Stp. Flugplatz Rye, Bpt 88.

Outside the village Gammel Rye, on a relative flat piece of land, the Germans built already in 1940 the Flugplatz Rye. Around the village there are still many small remains left, but the main objects can be found where the N461 bents away and becomes the Femvejen.

Park your car where the Femvejen splits into the Ryhule. On one side lies the Vf observation bunker and on the other side the big Airfield Command Post. Around and in the woods further on, several Vf buildings, Tobruks and other objects are laying
When you walk over the Ryhule, that was a part of the taxi way of the airfield, you will encounter a former small train track station. Further away in the woods, along a by the Germans built concrete road, lots of remains of ammo and other storage buildings are situated .
